The μiTRON-compliant OS can operate on hardware and embedded systems designed for the education of "embedded software." This is an embedded learning kit that packages the necessary environment for software development along with textbooks (for teachers and students) into one package. It allows for detailed learning of the steps required to actually develop software and run μiTRON on hardware, going beyond basic topics. The CPU used is the HD641765ARF (SH2DSP: manufactured by Renesas Technology), and users can evaluate and learn by actually running sample programs from debugging monitor to firmware embedding. This is a general-purpose CPU board equipped with a CPU (SH2DSP: manufactured by Renesas Technology), 2 RS232C ports, 1 LAN port, dip switches, LEDs, JTAG I/F, and more. It allows for CPU control using RTOS, simple I/O control, and while it requires some stepping up, you can learn programming for serial communication, LAN communication, etc. Since it is equipped with JATG, it can also be connected to an ICE for debugging.
