JK Device Co., Ltd. has developed a new ultra-high-speed color contact image sensor (CIS) using its unique technology and is currently selling samples. The newly developed ultra-high-speed color contact image sensor (CIS) achieves a scan rate of 1411 mm/sec at a color resolution of 300 DPI, allowing it to read A4 size (length 297 mm) at a speed of 285 sheets per minute. The light source uses RGB LEDs, enabling full-color reproduction. By combining it with a dedicated CIS control board, it digitizes the RGB image data (with a 10-bit ADC) and outputs it after black and white correction (shading correction) at 8 bits per pixel × RGB (24 bits). It also features tone curve correction (gamma correction) and automatic adjustment functions for offset and gain levels, improving usability.
