The demand for high precision and high rigidity in metal processing is increasing day by day. One answer to this is the use of shrink-fit holders, and the device for safely installing and presetting/clamping them with high precision is ZOLLER's redomatic. It clamps in about 5 seconds and cools in about 30 seconds, resulting in a very short working time. Due to the short heating time, clamping of HSS tools is also possible. The protrusion length can be managed with a tolerance of ±10 microns at most, allowing for a level of use that is on a different dimension compared to conventional shrink-fit holders. The redomatic, which corresponds to the above-mentioned shrink-fit holders and is a high-precision tool presetter, can, of course, also be used as a regular tool presetter, serving "two purposes in one machine."
