A cooling rate of about 10^5 K/s or higher is required for the production of these amorphous thin strips, and methods such as the single-roll technique are utilized. **Bulk Amorphous Alloys** Recently, it has become possible to create bulk amorphous alloys that do not require ultra-rapid cooling (cooling rates of 0.1 to 100 K/s) and are not in thin strip form. Due to their bulk nature, these alloys are expected to lead to the development of various applications through processing and shaping. Many amorphous alloys, including Zr-based, Fe-based, Ti-based, Pd-based, Co-based, and Nd-based alloys, have been discovered to date, and further research into alloy compositions is actively being conducted.
