The Beck system features the use of dust suppressants (surfactants) that significantly reduce the surface tension of water, utilizing the property of making difficult-to-wet dust more easily wetted. Furthermore, it has been developed as a low-cost, high-performance, entirely new dust suppression system that addresses various dust issues by forming a special mist from the mixture of the dust suppressant and water, or by using a foam generator (a device that refines foam using mixed water and air) to create foam.
