There are two types of materials for industrial 3D printers: "Onyx FR-A" and the reinforced fiber material "Carbon Fibre FR-A." Both have excellent flame retardancy, meet the FST conditions of the American aerospace industry, and possess traceability. This is the first carbon fiber reinforced resin material available for 3D printers in the industry. Now, due to reasons such as weight reduction and high strength, the interior components and housings of aircraft are shifting from metal to carbon fiber resin. We will start selling "Onyx ESD," a high-performance plastic material reinforced with fiber for ESD countermeasures.
Until now, the common materials used in 3D printers have either conductive or insulating properties, which could generate static electricity discharge in the objects produced, making them unsuitable for use with electronic devices and components that are sensitive to static electricity. The newly developed Onyx ESD combines nylon-based micro carbon fibers and additives to achieve ESD (Electro Static Dissipative) performance. It prevents damage to PCBs and electronic components caused by unexpected static electricity discharge, making it suitable for various applications where static electricity discharge measures are essential, such as jigs, fixtures, and transport trays. 【Product Features】 - A high-performance material developed specifically for ESD countermeasures, combining strength, precision, and high surface quality. - Maintains a surface resistance value of 10^5 to 10^7 Ω, achieving ideal static electricity dissipation. - By printing with long fibers such as carbon fibers, it can achieve a maximum bending strength of 540 MPa, comparable to aluminum. 【Applicable Fields and Uses】 - Fields where static electricity countermeasures are essential, such as aerospace, automotive industry, and electronic component manufacturing. - Applications include prototyping of parts and accessories, production of jigs, tools, and cases, and small batch final products.
