I was involved in the production of the "touchable" model of Kencho-ji Temple in Kamakura City.
The "touchable" model of Kenchoji Temple was conceived by the Universal Picture Book Library UniLeaf (represented by Toshie Oshima, located in Hayama, Kanagawa Prefecture) with the concept of allowing visually impaired individuals to feel historical buildings with their hands, enabling them to share the excitement of travel together. Subsequently, it received support from many donors through grants from the "Support Each Other Fund" and crowdfunding, leading to its production. To realize the concept of feeling historical buildings by touch, a 1/50 scale miniature of the Kenchoji Temple Buddha Hall was meticulously recreated in bronze, paying close attention to detail. Our company was responsible for the production of the castings, which consist of approximately 30 parts. This in-house technology utilizes a casting method called "Digital Cast," which excels in producing unique, one-of-a-kind items without the need for mold fabrication. The model has been permanently installed in front of the Kenchoji Temple Buddha Hall since the day after the ceremony, allowing visitors to touch it freely. About the Tension Nut: For large bolts ranging from M30 to M100, the tightening torque can reach several thousand to tens of thousands of Nm, requiring large hydraulic tools or electric tools. However, the Tension Nut allows for easy tightening of large bolts using only a hand torque wrench by tightening the Hertz screw without the need for electricity or air. The special structure of the Tension Nut, with its "slope disc," generates higher axial force as it resists the reverse rotation that would loosen the bolt, making it a nut that does not loosen. About the Small and Medium Enterprises Excellent New Technology and New Product Award: The Resona Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Foundation, in collaboration with the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, conducts awards for excellent new technologies and new products with the aim of promoting the technology of small and medium enterprises and contributing to the development of Japanese industry. Nippon Pralado Co., Ltd. has released the "Tsure Zero Washer," a washer designed to prevent the rotation of bolts with diameters ranging from M12 to M72. ■ Features of the Anti-Rotation Washer "Tsure Zero Washer" 1. A washer that prevents bolt rotation Unlike washers that utilize surface irregularities from knurled processing to create friction resistance, the anti-rotation Tsure Zero Washer has a special structure that changes the equivalent friction diameter. It is currently under international patent application. The conical shape on the back and the hexagonal design increase the effective friction diameter against the seating surface, resulting in the reaction torque from the bolt head being more than twice as large as the tightening torque of the nut. This prevents the washer from rotating and stops the bolt head from rotating together.
