It does not contain any heavy metals such as lead, zinc, or cadmium, nor does it use sulfurous acid or antimony, which are commonly used as foam agents in regular glass. Due to its low expansion coefficient, it has high heat resistance that can withstand a temperature shock of 250 degrees, with minimal expansion and contraction from heating and rapid cooling.
