Linux is an important technology in cutting-edge fields that are currently major topics of discussion, such as AI, autonomous driving, and IoT. There is a growing interest in the Yocto Project as the necessary Linux for its development, and the adoption of Yocto BSP (Board Support Package) as a development environment is increasing. On the other hand, the Yocto BSP uses terms like "recipe," "layer," "Poky," and "BitBake," which are built on a different approach and framework than before, making understanding and mastering them a challenge. To address this situation and support our customers' product development, we will hold an official practical course on the Yocto Project that integrates the knowledge and know-how gained from our previous Yocto-related development, support, and seminars at Lino. The course will consist of detailed explanations and exercises about BitBake and tools that are central to the Yocto Project. The exercises are designed to reflect actual development environments, and by progressing through them, we expect to alleviate the confusion and difficulty associated with BitBake, leading participants to feel that "BitBake is not scary at all."
