Until now, replacing the mechanical seals in single-screw pumps required removing everything except for the drive unit (such as disconnecting surrounding piping, disassembling the suction casing, and pulling out the stator), making it a very tedious task that could take several hours even for relatively small types. The split-stator type 'SCT' pump was developed with a focus on achieving quick and easy maintenance. As part of the development philosophy of this pump, the split mechanical seal 'Smart Seal Housing' was created.
