Sterilization effect of cold cathode sterilization lamp
Irradiation from a distance of 5 cm for 5 seconds > 99.99% inactivation Irradiation from a distance of 10 cm for 10 seconds > 99.94% Irradiation from a distance of 20 cm for 10 seconds > 99.44% Target: Novel coronavirus Delta variant Lamp used: Cold cathode sterilization lamp, spiral shape, 12W In an in vitro study (test tube experiment) conducted as a commissioned research by Professor Daisuke Hayasaka and Associate Professor Chuu Shimoda from the Joint Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Yamaguchi University, it was confirmed that irradiating the Delta variant of the novel coronavirus on a petri dish from a distance of 5 cm for 5 seconds resulted in > 99.99% inactivation. Additionally, under other conditions, it was confirmed that irradiation from a distance of 10 cm for 10 seconds resulted in > 99.94%, and irradiation from a distance of 20 cm for 10 seconds resulted in > 99.44% inactivation of the same virus.
