The craftsmanship that has been given up until now (polishing and grinding) can be automated through uniform force correction using a high-speed autonomous control system for contact force. Gravity loads are also autonomously controlled! Even the polishing of turbine blades, which requires skilled techniques, can be automated with ACF.
FerRobotics' Active Compliant Technology automatically corrects the "difference" in contact pressure (force) that occurs during polishing and grinding processes, which require skilled techniques, at high speed. This technology allows for consistent polishing/grinding at the set contact force, unaffected by variations in processing speed or gravitational load differences due to angles. Using an end effector (ACF) with ACT technology, it quickly and automatically adjusts to changes in dimensional tolerances, curved shapes, and non-planar surfaces by instantaneously extending and retracting the stroke, maintaining contact with the workpiece at the set force. This technology can increase the speed of devices and robots, thereby enhancing processing speed and improving cycle times. Additionally, in robotic polishing and grinding, the control of contact pressure through the extension and retraction of the ACF itself eliminates the need to move the heavy robot arm for corrections, further assisting in improving processing speed. Moreover, it automatically corrects tool load variations caused by gravity changes due to the robot's angle, ensuring a consistent contact pressure from any angle, enabling a finish without processing inconsistencies.
FerRobotics creates a new standard for polishing automation! Complete automation of polishing the roof joint area of automotive bodies with pressure correction control.

Success story of the introduction of an automatic polishing system with a European automobile manufacturer!
FerRobotics creates a new standard in polishing automation! Complete automation of the polishing of the roof joint area of automotive bodies using pressure correction control. The end effector with our ACT technology enables complete control of the pressure with high-speed automatic correction. Users share their success stories in the video. The complete automation of grinder finishing after welding/brazing in the roof joint area of automobiles significantly improves finishing quality and allows for better management of abrasive material consumption by maintaining consistent pressure. The most important factor for high-quality post-processing is delicate and smooth grinding. The better the polishing finish, the higher the quality of the finish, perfectly matching the demands of high-end products. ■ Benefits: - High-speed autonomous pressure correction control increases the robot's trajectory speed, dramatically improving productivity and cycle time for polishing and brushing. - Maintains a high level of quality, allowing for polishing 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. - High-speed autonomous pressure correction control reduces the consumption of consumables, leading to cost savings.
