Kell Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the launch of a new cable extension type as a variation of the 1.5mm pitch drawer connector "FAS series," which is already on sale. The newly released "FAS series" cable extension type is a cable-to-cable connector developed in response to market demands. The product offers three types of crimp contacts of different lengths and allows for three stages of staggered contact (live insertion and extraction) to be set at any position, thereby expanding design flexibility. Additionally, similar to the drawer connectors already offered by the company, the connector's guiding angle has been widened to facilitate positional adjustment during diagonal mating. To reduce stress after mating, a sufficient floating mechanism (±1.4mm in the XY direction) has been provided. Furthermore, to take advantage of this, the guiding amount has been set large at ±3mm in the XY direction.
