On November 23, 2022, an article about the calcium scale solidification adhesion prevention device "Non-Scaler" was published in issue 2941 of "Air Conditioning Times." The calcium scale solidification adhesion prevention device "Non-Scaler" has been widely adopted in various factories, including steel mills and paper mills, and has received high praise for its effectiveness. Calcium scale forms when water containing dissolved calcium hydroxide undergoes temperature changes or becomes acidic, causing it to combine with free carbon dioxide in the water or carbon dioxide in the air to create insoluble calcium carbonate crystals. These crystals then solidify and adhere to the inner walls of pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, and piping, forming thick, hard layers. By installing the Non-Scaler introduced here, water is passed through a device equipped with two types of special blades, which forcibly oxidizes the calcium hydroxide in the water and transforms it into fine particles of calcium carbonate. This suppresses the adhesion of scale (calcium carbonate crystals) to the insides of pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, and piping, thereby preventing blade damage within pumps, reducing heat exchange efficiency loss, significantly decreasing the frequency of scale removal work (resulting in substantial maintenance cost reductions), and lowering the frequency of production line stoppages.
