We have been grateful for your long-term use of the WPC8002, which has been on the market for nearly 40 years. However, due to various circumstances, it has become increasingly difficult to continue providing adequate maintenance in the future. In 2001, we informed you of the "request to discontinue maintenance for equipment over 10 years old," and currently, all units in operation have exceeded 13 years. In this situation, along with the discontinuation of parts production, the aging of the equipment, and the frequent occurrence of defects, it has become challenging to maintain the performance of the inspection equipment. We have kept a certain amount of discontinued parts in stock for maintenance, but the inventory is now limited to a few units, and additional discontinued parts have emerged. Given these circumstances, depending on the number of repairs, we anticipate that maintenance support will only be possible until the end of this year. After that, repairs may be declined depending on the nature of the defects. We ask for your understanding and patience in this matter. Therefore, we kindly request that you consider updating to the successor models, WPC8110 and WPC8115, as soon as possible. This notice will be effective from August 1, 2015.
The WPC8110's features are preserved while also being compatible with large wristwatches. Custom orders and modifications are also accepted.
