~ A super-broadband light source that demonstrates its power in optical fiber communication and advanced optical measurement ~ OptoQuest has commercialized a super-broadband light source covering wavelengths from 1200nm to 2100nm as a result of joint research with Professor Minoru Yoshida of the Functional Optical Circuit Laboratory at Kinki University’s Graduate School of Science and Engineering. This product achieves higher fiber output and spectral stability compared to conventional light sources by combining a new configuration laser developed in basic research at Kinki University with OptoQuest's optical implementation technology. Additionally, it features a design that does not use consumable parts, making it stable, durable, and long-lasting. Some results of the joint research were presented at an invited lecture during the Optical Fiber Application Technology Research Committee of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers held on August 26, 2021.
