New release of the Wi-Fi/USB compatible CAN2.0B communication unit "CAN-2-WF" for CAN communication via wireless LAN.
Contec has developed a unit that expands CAN communication via Wi-Fi (wireless LAN) / USB from a computer, and has started selling it as "CAN-2-WF" (hereinafter referred to as the new product) from August 29, 2024. The new product is a converter unit that extends CAN communication functionality via wireless LAN or USB. It complies with CAN 2.0B communication and supports a maximum communication speed of 1 Mbps. It is equipped with a USB Type-C port, allowing operation via USB. It is compatible with the SAE J2534 diagnostic protocol for automotive ECUs and can be used as a communication interface during vehicle maintenance diagnostics and ECU programming. Contec has newly added two models equipped with the "Power Cut Protect(TM)" function, which supports operation without shutdown, as a standard feature in the IoT Edge controller "CPS-BXC200 series," and started sales on June 29, 2021. The palm-sized, highly expandable IoT Edge controller "CPS-BXC200 series" has been developed into a total of eight models as IoT devices for edge computing, including models pre-installed with McAfee whitelist antivirus software and models compatible with the Edgecross platform. With the addition of the two new models featuring the "Power Cut Protect(TM)" function, the lineup now consists of a total of ten models.

SuperCD BIG is a compact computer designed for embedded applications, which adds a rich variety of interfaces to the SuperCD. It is equipped with a high-performance CPU (Intel) that runs Windows 10 smoothly. It supports an operating temperature range of -30°C to +60°C (when using optional fixed brackets). It features a PoE power supply port, allowing for a single cable connection to GiGE cameras. It also supports wireless communication (Wi-Fi/LTE). The SuperCD BIG comes standard with a CS Tomalanger to support continuous operation.
