One of the features of our product "Portable Power Box" is its "completely waterproof design (equivalent to IP65)." In this article, we will explain what IP means and how excellent IP65 is! IP stands for Ingress Protection, which is a standard set by the IEC that indicates the degree of dust and water resistance. The first characteristic letter following IP represents dust resistance, while the second characteristic letter represents water resistance. The degree of dust and water resistance is classified into grades, with levels ranging from 0 to 6 for dust and 0 to 8 for water, indicating that a higher grade signifies better ingress protection capabilities. (In Japan, the IP table is standardized by the Japanese Industrial Standards and the Japan Electrical Manufacturers' Association.) Based on the above, our product, which is equivalent to IP65, has a "completely dustproof structure" and possesses high dust and water resistance, meaning it is "not adversely affected by direct water jets from any direction."
