The latest generation of Rehila's spillback nozzle elevates proven technology to a new level. The spillback nozzle is a return-type spray nozzle that atomizes liquid in a hollow conical shape. Unlike conventional nozzles, water is supplied to the nozzle at a constant supply pressure (e.g., 3.5 MPa), allowing for stable operation regardless of the actual spray flow rate. The injection amount is managed by a control valve in the return line. By opening this valve, a portion of the supply flow is returned to the water tank. Closing the control valve achieves maximum spray flow rate and maintains uniform liquid atomization across the entire control range. The adoption of innovative nozzle technology significantly improves system efficiency. By replacing cluster-type nozzle lances with the more efficient RS II-4 single nozzle lance, the following advantages are gained: ≪Features≫ Optimal complete evaporation Energy savings Simplified maintenance Minimal modification work Additionally, the redesign of Rehila's spillback nozzle has achieved design improvements such as optimized liquid flow shapes, reduced number of parts, and easier assembly with standard tools. 【DryMaster Case Study | Achieving Four Times the Lifespan of Strawberry Pulp Spray Drying】 A major European food manufacturer faced a short lifespan of 14 to 18 hours for competitive nozzles in the spray drying process of strawberry pulp, which contains a high amount of citric acid, leading to decreased production efficiency. This was due to the combined wear from high pressure (10 MPa) and acidity, necessitating frequent replacements. By introducing the Lechler DryMaster, the lifespan was extended to approximately four times due to the high wear resistance of the carbide components. It could be directly attached to existing lances without the need for equipment modifications. Additionally, nozzle clogging was resolved, significantly improving continuous operation and quality. Used carbide components can be returned through the CaRe recycling program, contributing to reduced environmental impact and credit allocation. It is suitable for food applications and is also praised for its rapid shipping and high compatibility.
