This is an introduction to the appeal of water jet cutting. At B.K.T., we have both laser processing machines and water jet cutting machines as our main equipment, allowing us to cut various materials. Water jet cutting machines are particularly effective for cutting thick aluminum plates, as well as copper and titanium, which are difficult to cut with laser processing machines. The fact that there are no issues such as warping or spatter caused by heat is also a factor contributing to the increase in cutting requests. At B.K.T., we also perform cutting of aluminum checker plates. The photo shows the cutting of A5052 (aluminum) 6t checker plate using a water jet cutting machine. Normally, spatter (the melted residue from laser cutting) adheres to the surface, but with water jet cutting, there is no concern about spatter. This reduces the time spent on spatter processing and contributes to improved work efficiency. We have received positive feedback regarding our pricing, with many saying it was cheaper than they expected.
