The 10/100M Ethernet signal is transmitted over long distances using optical fiber. It enables wiring in vast areas, long-distance wiring from remote locations, wiring in noisy factory environments, and wiring adjacent to power lines or signal lines that generate noise, all while maintaining signal quality. The VAD-SD001E.L2.TRC transmits a single channel of 10/100M Ethernet over two single-mode optical fibers for a maximum distance of 20 km, and over two multi-mode optical fibers for a maximum distance of 2 km.
