Novanta Japan Co., Ltd. is the Japanese subsidiary of Novanta Inc. (USA), which provides some of the world's leading laser technologies. Just eight years after Dr. Maiman's groundbreaking invention of the first ruby laser, our predecessor, General Scanning Inc., was established. During the early days of lasers, General Scanning Inc. developed the galvanometer scanner, a device for laser positioning, while Lumonics Inc. was the first in the world to commercialize TEA CO2 lasers for industrial use. Since its founding in 1968 by engineers from MIT, the Novanta Group has provided various laser application process systems across a wide range of fields, including semiconductors, electronics, precision machinery manufacturing, and telecommunications. Furthermore, based on years of experience, we offer a wide range of products, including laser-related optical components, along with innovative technologies to the world.
