TOMOMI RESEARCH develops and provides visual inspection systems built on two core technologies: FORESIGHT STEREO, our proprietary 3D imaging technology that measures surface normals as a physical quantity independent of lighting, and E3 ENGINE, an AI anomaly detection engine trained on good products only. Measured, not estimated. By capturing surface orientation with multi-directional lighting, we suppress specular reflection and reveal shallow scratches and subtle unevenness, even on mirror-like and glossy surfaces. E3 ENGINE quantifies how far each part deviates from good products and returns one of three results: OK, Human_Check, or NG. Uncertain cases are passed back to a human inspector, so you keep numerical inspection criteria while reducing the burden on inspectors. Adding or updating product types is easy. Our lineup includes the TR-300, which inspects parts while creating 3D data on a moving line (winner of the Future Creation Award at the 40th Kanagawa Industrial Technology Development Awards and the Encouragement Award at the 38th Excellent New Technology and New Product Awards for SMEs), and the TR-100 for parts placed for inspection, so you can choose equipment that fits your process.
