Introducing a case study on the implementation of "Spot Bazooka" due to its short installation period and cost-effectiveness!

This is a case study on the introduction of "Spot Bazooka" at Matsueda Elementary School in Kasamatsu Town, Hatori District, Gifu Prefecture. Two elementary schools in the town still lack air conditioning in their gymnasiums. In light of the incidents of heatstroke among children occurring nationwide, the schools have been considering measures to combat heatstroke in the gymnasiums. Additionally, with summer classes being held due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was decided to implement a solution as soon as possible. As a result, we arrived at the "Spot Bazooka," which was suitable in terms of overwhelming airflow effectiveness, safety, installation space, and cost. After confirming the installation site and conducting a demonstration, we were able to verify its effectiveness, leading to its adoption by both schools. Since the introduction, it has been used not only by the school but also for community sports activities during school open days, and we have received feedback that activities have become more comfortable. During the rainy season, when relative humidity tends to be high, and in seasons with significant temperature fluctuations, condensation on steel products has been a problem. Large blowers and factory fans were installed inside the building to promote air circulation, but satisfactory results were not achieved. With the circulation of air throughout the building, the feeling of dampness was eliminated even on humid days, creating a flow of cool air throughout every corner of the building. Hyogo Daihatsu Sales Co., Ltd. has introduced our large ceiling fan "GOLD WIND" and heat-shielding sheet "COOL FACE." In the maintenance workshop, vehicles frequently come and go, making the introduction of air conditioning equipment inappropriate in terms of cost and effectiveness. Duct coolers and air blowers were also insufficient, leading to concerns. While searching for ways to improve the workplace environment, there was a need for more effective measures. The "COOL FACE" cuts over 97% of radiant heat from the roof, and by circulating airflow throughout the workspace with "GOLD WIND," a comfortable working environment is achieved even without air conditioning. A difference of over 30°C in roof radiant temperature has been confirmed before and after the installation of the heat-shielding sheet.
