At the company, the equipment frequently stopped for replenishing cutting fluid for machining. The combined task of diluting and replenishing cutting fluid took about 30 minutes each time, resulting in a waste of 450 minutes, or 7.5 hours, per day. Although it is a job that anyone can do, someone had to do it. After the introduction, the purchase cost of cutting oil decreased by about 20%, amounting to approximately 1 million yen per year. In addition, they have realized "unmanned continuous processing" by combining various automation devices, including a device for compressing chips, temperature management, and of course, devices for retrieving from lathes and storing in shelves using stacker cranes.
