Cryogenic refrigerator

One of the most widely used refrigeration machines.

Cryogenic Refrigerators and Superconducting Application Technology Superconducting application technology, which is being discussed in various fields such as energy, computers, transportation, communication, and even everyday healthcare, is one of the extreme physical properties brought about by the world of cryogenic temperatures close to absolute zero (minus 273°C). In this state, electrical resistance becomes zero, leading to phenomena such as magnetic levitation (Meissner effect) and ultra-fast switching (Josephson effect), resulting in physical properties that are unimaginable in our normal temperature world, emerging from the interactions of ions and electrons at cryogenic temperatures. Superconductivity was first discovered in 1911 when a Dutch scientist cooled mercury to 4.2 K (Kelvin). Since then, over the course of about 100 years, refrigeration technology has evolved remarkably, and along with it, research and development related to superconductivity has made significant progress. Superconductivity is said to be a key technology of the 21st century. Even in terms of energy-related application technologies, its role is increasingly significant as a technology that maximizes the use of Earth's energy while protecting the beautiful environment of our planet. Leveraging years of experience in refrigeration technology, we sell unique helium-specific compressors and high-performance cryogenic refrigerators.

Ultra-low temperature freezer 4K GM-JT freezer

Minimal temperature fluctuations! No restrictions on installation direction! A refrigerator that lowers temperature using refrigerant (helium)!

The ultra-low temperature refrigerator 4K GM-JT refrigerator is a 4K refrigerator that adds a Joule-Thomson (JT) expansion section to a two-stage refrigerator. The 4K refrigeration capacity utilizes the latent heat of helium, making it a highly efficient machine compared to expansion-type refrigerators such as GM refrigerators and pulse tube refrigerators. Additionally, since it utilizes latent heat, one of its features is that it has very little temperature fluctuation. For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.

Ultra-low temperature freezer 4K GM freezer RDK-415D

The crank mechanism is used to convert the rotational motion of the motor into reciprocating motion.

The ultra-low temperature freezer 4K GM freezer RDK-415D is a mechanical refrigeration unit that generates cold by having the refrigerant material move back and forth inside a cylinder, allowing the refrigerant gas to expand adiabatically. The method of moving the refrigerant material back and forth in the GM freezer manufactured by Sumitomo Heavy Industries utilizes a crank mechanism to convert the rotational motion of the motor into reciprocating motion. Additionally, by innovating the two-stage refrigerant material seal, it is the world's first freezer that does not have restrictions on the installation direction of the 4K freezer. For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.

Air Conditioning Basics: What is Surging?

Introducing the compression methods of turbo refrigerators and the causes of surging!

Surging is a phenomenon in which the discharge gas pressure of a centrifugal compressor is overcome by the pressure on the discharge side, resulting in the inability to discharge gas or the occurrence of gas backflow. When surging occurs in a centrifugal compressor, vibrations become intense, and operation becomes unstable. This indicates that the pressure head of the compressor is insufficient. This article provides a detailed explanation of the causes of surging in turbo refrigerators and the surging limits, so please take a moment to read it. [Contents] ■ Compression method of turbo refrigerators ■ Causes of surging in turbo refrigerators ■ Surging limits of turbo refrigerators *For more detailed information, you can view it through the related links. *For further details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

What causes the carbon dioxide emitted from buildings?

A solid foundation for paving the way to decarbonization! Introduction of useful air conditioning information.

Carbon emissions (or carbon production) refer to a general measurement of the amount of CO2 generated directly, indirectly, or through the value chain. On the other hand, the carbon footprint represents the total impact of an organization, expressed as the sum of all carbon emissions. While these terms are sometimes used interchangeably, it is important to understand the differences between them. Specific actions at the operational level have a significant impact on the carbon footprint, making the total carbon emissions the most important factor for decision-makers in buildings and facilities. [Contents] ■ Scope 1 "Direct" emissions ■ Scope 2 "Indirect" emissions ■ Summary *For detailed content of the article, please refer to the related links. *For more information, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study on Turbo Refrigeration System] Snow Brand Milk Products Co., Ltd.

Rapid cooling after heat sterilization! Introducing a case study of a non-Freon refrigerant turbo freezer.

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of the "R-514A adopted ultra-low GWP turbo refrigeration unit" at Snow Brand Megmilk Co., Ltd. The refrigeration units currently in use at the company were using old refrigerants such as CFCs, HCFCs, and HFCs. As part of their efforts to reduce environmental impact, a non-fluorocarbon refrigeration unit using R-514A was considered. The equipment was introduced in a ratio of one turbo refrigeration unit to five screw refrigeration units, and optimal control was adopted according to the load. [Case Overview] ■ Challenges - Transition all refrigerants to those with minimal environmental impact as much as possible. ■ Results - Achieved the goal of non-fluorocarbonization of the turbo refrigeration unit in a system that utilizes both turbo and screw refrigeration units. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
