When a colloidal dispersion is dried, it often forms a ring-shaped pattern (commonly known as a "coffee ring"). What we are introducing this time is a case study that investigates how the mechanism differs based on particle size. In the droplet, particles are convecting, and larger particles have stronger van der Waals forces, making them more likely to aggregate.
