[Data] Case Study on Problem Solving <Improvement of Aluminum Automotive Parts Molds 2>

Introduction of a case where the improvement of mold structure enhanced installation workability and reproducibility.

This document introduces a case of improvement in the mold structure of aluminum automotive parts. Before the improvement, if the slide of the mold did not fully descend to the correct position, interference occurred between the slide component and the product when ejecting the product from the mold, resulting in product chipping. Additionally, the shape of the fixed bolt for the slide stopper was set as an elongated hole, which caused positional misalignment. By reviewing the shape of the fixed bolt for the slide stopper, the workability and reproducibility of the installation were improved, eliminating positional misalignment. [Contents] ■ Before Improvement ■ After Improvement *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

What is cylindricality for molds? An explanation of the basics!

Video materials useful for mold design and manufacturing.

In the mold industry, the precision of the mold shape is crucial to ensure product accuracy. In particular, the precision of cylindrical shapes, which affects the quality of molded products, is an important factor in the design and manufacturing of molds. A lack of understanding of cylindricity can lead to molding defects and a decrease in product accuracy. This video explains the basics of "cylindricity," which is a type of geometric tolerance. 【Application Scenarios】 - Mold design - Mold manufacturing - Quality control of molded products 【Benefits of Implementation】 - Deepening the understanding of cylindricity to improve the precision of mold design and manufacturing - Reducing molding defects - Stabilizing product quality

[I-NIX Processing Product Test Case] Stainless Steel Press Processing Measures

Successful in extending lifespan! Just considering the effort of re-polishing, there are significant cost benefits to be expected!

In the punching process of stainless steel substrates (thickness 0.4t), using the general material (carbide V30), the number of shots reached around 60,000, at which point the wear of the cutting edge became critical, necessitating regrinding (1.5mm per time). By implementing "I-NIX treatment," the friction coefficient was reduced, successfully extending the lifespan. Considering the effort involved in regrinding alone, significant cost benefits can be anticipated. 【Case Overview】 ■Challenges - In the punching process of stainless steel substrates (thickness 0.4t), regrinding was necessary. - Regrinding was limited to 5 times, raising concerns about lifespan. ■Results - No wear or chipping. - Over 1 million shots (approximately 20 times more effective). *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
