"Light molding" is a technology for shaping actual models of thermoplastic resins using silicone rubber molds. Production materials for mass molding are made into fine particles, filled into the silicone mold, and while being vacuum compressed, are heated and melted by near-infrared light irradiated from the outside, passing through the silicone rubber mold, to form the fine particle materials placed inside the mold. Prototypes using mass production molding materials can be created without molds during the development and design phase, and small lot production can also be achieved through light molding for small production items.
