Insert molding

Insert molding

Insert molding is a technology that involves inserting pre-formed materials such as metal, fabric, or different types of resin molded products into a mold to create a fully integrated product. Compared to inserting and bonding in a later process, it achieves significantly higher strength and durability. Insert molding allows for the development of a wide range of products that leverage the individual advantages of materials, such as combining the rigidity of metal with the flexibility of plastic, or merging the soft feel of fabric with the durability of plastic. □■Features of Insert Molding■□ - Since the inserts are molded in advance, it results in strong and highly reliable products. - A wide variety of insert materials, including metal, fabric, ceramics, glass, and wood, can be used, meeting the molding needs of various industries. - Depending on the mold structure, it is also possible to completely encapsulate the insert components. *For more details, please inquire through material requests or downloads.

Subsequent Technology: Thermoplastic/LSR Multi-material Molding

It is a technology for bonding materials with opposing molding processes within the same process.

"Thermoplastic/LSR dissimilar material molding" is a technology that bonds materials with opposing molding processes, specifically thermoplastic resin and liquid silicone rubber (thermosetting), within the same process. By bonding silicone rubber, which has physical advantages such as permanent compression set, heat resistance, and electrical insulation compared to elastomers, with thermoplastic resin, it enables product development in a wide range of fields that were previously unachievable. Due to the scientific nature of the bonding, there is no need for joints using anchors or bridges, making product shapes and mold design easier. 【Features】 ○ Enables product development in fields that conventional elastomers could not address. ○ By coexisting different properties within the same product, molded items that leverage both characteristics can be created. ○ Since bonding occurs within the same process, it allows for a reduction in assembly and insert work. ○ Not only traditional core rotation two-color processes but also mold-in plate rotation two-color compatibility increases design flexibility. For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.

Molding technology - Elastomer molding

A revolutionary molding material that overturns common sense: the elasticity of rubber and the plasticity of plastic.

Elastomers, which combine the elasticity of rubber and the plasticity of plastics, are a groundbreaking molding material that overturns the conventional wisdom of "plastic = hard." At Furya Industries, we are boldly taking on the challenging and often avoided task of elastomer molding, which is more difficult than working with plastics, while also leveraging our unique technologies and know-how accumulated over many years to embark on new material development. We aim to create new high-value-added products using elastomers that embody both "beauty" and "gentleness." For more details, please contact us or refer to our catalog.

Injection molding for DSI hollow bodies

About injection molding for DSI hollow bodies.

DSI (Die Slide Injection Molding) is an injection molding method developed by Japan Steel Works that allows for the rapid and accurate molding of complex internal structures in hollow bodies. In the first injection, semi-finished products (two-part products) are molded, and the mold is slid using a hydraulic mechanism to form the hollow body. Further, melting and bonding are performed through a second injection. The DSI method also resolves issues such as uneven wall thickness and weak bonding strength that were seen in conventional hollow molding methods. ■Features■ - Capable of molding complex hollow bodies and assembly molding with insert parts, as well as sealing molding. - Eliminates the need for post-processing, contributing to reduced molding costs and increased productivity. - Bonding areas have a strength approximately 1.5 to 2.0 times that of vibration welding. - Easy control of wall thickness (1.5 to 5.0 mm) and high dimensional accuracy. *For more details, please inquire through a request for materials or download.

Two-color, different material molding

Two-color, different material molding

Two-color molding is a technique that shapes two different colored materials of the same type, creating products rich in fashion appeal. Unlike painting or hot stamping, it allows for durable decoration and a high-quality finish. Dissimilar material molding is a technique that bonds two types of materials during the molding process, enabling the coexistence of different material properties in a single molded product. This eliminates the need for post-processing tasks like adhesive work, allowing for cost reduction. Both technologies significantly expand the applications of products. □■Features of Two-Color Molding■□ - A wide variety of product developments is possible through diverse color combinations. - High durability decoration and a luxurious finish achieve high added-value products. □■Features of Dissimilar Material Molding■□ - By combining materials with different properties, molded products that leverage both characteristics can be created. - Cost reduction is possible as post-processing is unnecessary. - Enhances the fashionability and functionality of products. *For more details, please inquire through document requests or downloads.
