Absorber Dyes

Light-absorbing dyes available for use in the VIS to IR region.

■ The visible range ABS series has a relatively narrow absorption band, and there are types with particularly narrow linewidths. ■ The IRA series for the IR region selectively absorbs IR light even at high light densities. ■ It is also possible to customize the absorption shape by combining multiple absorbers. ■ Additionally, by using visible light dyes, it is possible to create long-pass filters with sharp cutoffs.

Color change of thermosensitive material composed of synthetic saponite and crystal violet.

A material that reversibly changes color according to the surrounding temperature! It exhibits significant color changes around 100°C.

This is about a new thermochromic material that changes color according to the external environmental temperature, featuring various characteristics. We will introduce the color change of the thermochromic material made from synthetic saponite and crystal violet. This material reversibly changes color according to the surrounding temperature, exhibiting significant color changes around 100°C. It can be processed into powder or thin film and can be applied regardless of the surface shape. Please contact us if you would like a sample. 【Features】 ■ The color of this material gradually changes slightly with the increase in temperature from room temperature, but shows significant color change around 100°C. ■ When the temperature is lowered back to room temperature, it returns to the color before the temperature increase. ■ Repeated color changes are observed on both the high-temperature and low-temperature sides of a specific temperature. ■ It can be produced through simple preparation. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Tohoku University Technology: RNA Guanine-Binding Fluorescent Dye: T22-031

We provide a novel fluorescent dye with excellent selectivity and binding strength for RNA, characterized by hydrogen bond recognition.

The present invention proposes a novel fluorescent dye that exhibits excellent selectivity and binding strength for RNA. As a method for exploring RNA-binding low molecules, a fluorescent indicator displacement assay (FID method; a method that evaluates RNA binding ability in a high-throughput manner by using a fluorescent indicator that binds to RNA and shows significant changes in fluorescence, through competitive displacement with target compounds) is known. Most existing RNA detection probes are planar intercalators, and to avoid missing hit compounds, diversification of binding modes is required. Therefore, the inventors designed TO-G-clamp as a novel probe with hydrogen bond recognition. Using TO-G-clamp, they conducted an FID assay against pre-mir-221, which is considered a potential therapeutic target in colorectal cancer, and successfully discovered compounds that did not hit with commercially available fluorescent indicators. The use of this fluorescent dye is expected to advance the exploration and design of RNA-targeted low molecules. Additionally, utilizing the property of TO-G-clamp to strongly bind to RNA and emit fluorescence, they also succeeded in RNA staining of immobilized cells.

High-density silica composite fluorescent dye

It is possible to compound with plastic resins that have a high melting point and to mold them! The chemical stability and resistance to acids and alkalis have improved.

We have developed a new material that protects pigments by combining silica with a high density and low pore structure comparable to quartz glass. This novel fluorescent dye-silica composite significantly improves the weaknesses of fluorescent dyes, such as fading and degradation, allowing for use in a wide range of applications (plastics, resins, paints, inks, cosmetics, etc.). The particle size can be roughly controlled between 1μm and 10μm (with possibilities down to several hundred nanometers). 【Features】 - The dense silica structure suppresses the intrusion of oxygen and moisture, reducing degradation under sunlight and ultraviolet environments. - It is difficult to thermally decompose even in high-temperature processes (such as plastic molding). - It can be compounded and molded with high melting point plastic resins. - When used in paints or resins, it becomes resistant to scratches and abrasion, enhancing scratch resistance, hardness, and mechanical strength. - Improved chemical stability and resistance to acids and alkalis. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
