As the plating industry urgently seeks to develop plating baths that do not use cyanide compounds, non-cyanide plating solutions for zinc and copper were relatively quickly developed. Daiwa Chemical Research Institute took on this difficult challenge and succeeded in 1989 in developing the world's first non-cyanide silver plating solution, "Dine Silver AG-PL30," which does not use any cyanide compounds, and brought it to practical use. For over 20 years after its development, the institute considered it its mission to eliminate the risk of toxic substance leakage during disasters from the plating industry and diligently continued research.
