This is a surface treatment method where a buff wheel, rotated at low to high speeds, is used to polish the surface of the product to be finished. The cutting effect of various grit abrasive buffs allows for the surface to be refined from rough to fine, up to the final finish. Choosing the appropriate buff for the material, shape, and finish (from rough buff to mirror finish) is important. We would like to introduce a case of barrel polishing conducted by Nishimura Giken Co., Ltd. The gas stove component that supports the heating container, known as "gotoku." The customer's specifications regarding the safety of the edges and sharp parts of the gotoku were abstract, stating that "housewives should be able to touch it with wet hands without getting cut." In response to this challenge, our company used projectors and microscopes to numerically present the rounding dimensions (R dimensions) of the edges and sharp parts processed by polishing.
