Introduction of a case study on preventing cooling scale in aluminum die-casting molds through hydroflow installation.
We will introduce a case of scale prevention for the aluminum die-casting mold cooling system using the "Hydroflow Electromagnetic Water Treatment Device."
The user is ED Industry Co., Ltd. (an aluminum die-casting manufacturer in Shizuoka Prefecture). The silica content in the well water is high at 48 mg/L, and when scaling occurs, it becomes a very hard scale, leading to a significant decrease in production efficiency and necessitating installation to prevent the occurrence of defective products. The equipment used includes five aluminum die-casting machines and an oil cooler.
【Installation and Effect Confirmation】
■ Installed Model: Electromagnetic Water Treatment Device "Hydroflow," Model: P60×1 unit
■ Usage Period: From July 14, 2011, to November 21, 2011 (four months)
■ Regular checks on the scale adhesion condition of the jet cooler pipes
- Before treatment: Replacement was done every 25,000 to 35,000 shots
- After treatment: Extended to 90,000 to 95,000 shots
⇒ Significantly contributed to efficiency improvement
