The request came from a client who wanted to analyze the gap dimensions between the columns and ceiling trusses in order to consider the installation of temporary scaffolding, without stopping the operating overhead crane. By utilizing 3D laser measurement, we were able to conduct safe and accurate measurements and analyses without completely halting the machinery in operation, which helped confirm the current clearances and facilitated the installation of the temporary scaffolding. We would like to introduce a case where a high-altitude work vehicle was used to perform 3D laser measurements of a piping rack, one level at a time. The client wished to understand the connections on the piping rack, which is approximately 5 to 9 meters high, and to use this information for planning a new piping line. We will introduce examples where the sharing of intuitive work images has become possible through visual expression!

We would like to introduce a case where point cloud data, which is a digital representation of the current state, was obtained using a 3D laser scanner at the site planned for building construction, including power lines, utility poles, and other nearby structures. The client expressed a desire to utilize the point cloud data, which represents the current state, to consider design options and shorten the construction planning period without having to visit the site multiple times. In this instance, we successfully shortened the construction planning period by utilizing the point cloud data, which is the digital data of the current state of the building construction site obtained through 3D laser measurement.
