Be cautious of the weather when using a 3D scanner.

Support the practical application of icon construction through rental! Be mindful of the weather when using the 3D scanner.

In some industries, I believe there are many situations where 3D scanners are utilized, but when using them, it is necessary to pay attention to the surrounding environment, especially the "weather." This is because the information obtained from a 3D scanner can be greatly affected by the weather. For example, measurements taken in areas with strong sunlight can be difficult because the light from the 3D scanner can be overwhelmed by the sunlight, making data collection challenging. During rainy weather, raindrops or snow can be scanned as point clouds, preventing data collection. When using a 3D scanner, you can ensure smooth measurements by thoroughly understanding the weather conditions on the day of the measurement and planning accordingly. 【Features】 ■ The information obtained from a 3D scanner can be greatly influenced by the weather. ■ Measurements in areas with strong sunlight can make data collection difficult. ■ During rainy weather, raindrops or snow can be scanned as point clouds. ■ Similarly, measurements can also be difficult if it has just stopped raining or if the target object is wet. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Case study of terrain surveying using UAV equipped with a green laser - free data available.

Utilizing green laser UAV surveying to achieve advanced disaster recovery activities.

The green laser scanner owned by our company has the characteristic of being less absorbed by water by emitting green laser light, unlike the commonly used near-infrared lasers. By mounting this scanner on a UAV and conducting laser measurements, we can obtain seamless and high-precision data down to the riverbed in areas where it was difficult to measure wet surfaces or where measurements could not be taken, such as places where land and water surfaces mix, like rivers and ports. This case is part of our participation in the environmental restoration activities, including the conservation of saline wetlands in the disaster-affected areas of the Great East Japan Earthquake, conducted by the NPO Mori wa Umi no Koibito. Due to ground subsidence caused by the earthquake, a rare saline wetland has emerged in Japan, where river and sea waters mix. As time passes since the earthquake, while the ecosystem within the wetland becomes richer, it is expected that the ground will rise due to elastic changes, leading to a decrease in wetland area due to the growth of reeds. Our company has created a high-precision 3D topographic map of the area surrounding the wetland by conducting benchmark surveying and green laser surveying. By continuing measurements, we monitor changes in the surrounding terrain and build a GIS on a 3D model of the rich ecosystem, thereby cooperating in both environmental conservation and disaster recovery efforts.

Plant Measurement Services and Point Cloud Data Utilization [Case Studies and Technical Materials Available]

Smooth construction! A must-see for those who want to carry out facility renovation work but lack blueprints! Visualize the parts that are unclear in the blueprints with a 3D model.

Our company offers a suitable "Plant Measurement Service and Point Cloud Data Utilization" for sharing between manufacturers and construction companies. We can measure complex locations where the current situation is unclear, high places, and dangerous areas that cannot be measured without scaffolding using a laser scanner. By visualizing parts that cannot be understood from drawings in a 3D model, we can make the alignment of opinions between design and the site visible, preventing discrepancies. 【We solve the following problems】 ■ We want to carry out renovation work on equipment, but there are no drawings. ■ We considered manual measurement, but the curves and twists of the objects to be measured are too complex to measure completely. ■ The work location is in a high place where scaffolding cannot be installed. ■ High temperatures, heat, and dust place a significant burden on workers. ■ While it is visually accessible, equipment prevents personnel from walking up to the measurement target. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
