The KI3740 and KI3741 are horizontal slit-type photo interrupters that use an infrared light-emitting diode on the emitting side and a photo IC output on the receiving side. They are equipped with a built-in amplifier, with a detection groove width of 5mm and a horizontal slit width of 0.5mm. RoHS compliant versions are also available. They are suitable for applications such as object passage detection in card machines and currency exchange machines, coin detection in vending machines and amusement devices, and office automation equipment.
