Introduction of case studies for problem-solving, such as improving the lifespan of mold parts: "Wear Prevention"

We will respond to your desire to extend the lifespan of mold parts! Proposal for improving wear resistance of carbide parts.

Our company contributes to solving the problems faced by our customers, such as improving the lifespan of mold parts. We received an inquiry from a customer stating, "We are punching work materials with a carbide punch, but the wear at the tip is severe. We want to extend the lifespan of the punch to increase productivity." In response, we analyzed the worn punch we received. It was determined that iron was adhering to the punch tip, accelerating wear. Therefore, we proposed a carbide material that is less prone to iron adhesion. After implementing the countermeasure, despite the new material having a higher number of strokes, the amount of adhered work material decreased, resulting in less wear. [Case Study] [Before Countermeasure Material] ■ Number of Strokes: 500,000 to 1,500,000 ■ Wear at Punch Tip: Approximately 0.8mm ↓ [After Countermeasure Material] ■ Number of Strokes: 1,800,000 ■ Wear at Punch Tip: Approximately 0.2mm *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Solve wear, chipping, and corrosion during processing of electrical steel sheets! Everloy super hard alloy.

Mold parts that are resistant to wear and chipping due to adhesion of electrical steel sheets, chipping caused by the impact of press processing, and corrosion from water-cutting wire processing!

Electromagnetic steel sheets are essential for motor cores, but we often hear about issues such as corrosion during processing and chipping or wear during pressing. 【Problems during Electromagnetic Steel Sheet Processing】 - Chipping due to impact during press processing - Wear and chipping caused by adhesion of the main component, iron - Corrosion from prolonged water-cutting wire processing - Damage from electrical discharge machining Everloy's "Super Hard Alloy EW Type and EX Type" are mold parts materials that can solve problems during electromagnetic steel sheet processing. - EW Type <For Punching> Compared to materials of the same hardness, it has a relatively high fracture toughness value, allowing for the prevention or improvement of cracks, chipping, and flaking without reducing hardness. It also has excellent corrosion resistance. - EX Type <For Riveting> A suitable material type for suppressing adhesion wear that occurs during the riveting process of electromagnetic steel sheets. For details on various physical properties, applications/case studies, and wear comparison examples, please download the PDF or contact us. ★ When inquiring, if you could provide details about your current issues or areas you wish to improve, our specialized staff will propose solutions. Please feel free to consult us about anything.

Achieving long lifespan for molding machine parts with carbide!

Everloy is a carbide manufacturer capable of providing a consistent production process from precision machining to the supply of mold parts made from super hard materials.

The emergence of resin materials with excellent heat resistance and durability is advancing the resinization of metal parts. Some resins contain additives like glass fibers, necessitating measures against early wear of parts and molds, as well as gas generation, which did not occur with traditional molding machines. We propose solutions to reduce the frequency of part replacements by replacing parts with super hard materials. 【Features】 ■ We offer a lineup of super hard materials that excel in "wear resistance," "corrosion resistance," and "heat resistance." ■ We conduct thorough investigations and condition analyses for short-lived parts. ■ We propose super hard materials tailored to applications and workpieces. Currently, we are providing materials that introduce case studies on solving issues related to mold parts. You can view them via "PDF Download."

High-performance stainless steel "Silicoroy" localized high hardness technology - Workability

Local high hardness technology using precision high-frequency heat treatment! Only the necessary areas can be hardened!

The precipitation-hardened silicon alloy can achieve localized high hardness depending on the application. When both hardness and toughness are required, localized solution heat treatment can be performed, and aging heat treatment can be implemented to achieve high hardness only in the necessary areas. Unlike high-frequency quenching, the precipitation-hardened silicon alloy does not become highly hardened after high-frequency heat treatment. Since it can be sufficiently processed after high-frequency heat treatment (solution treatment), there is greater design flexibility. For more details, please download and view the catalog. 【Examples of Localized High Hardness Products】 ■ Special Shafts - Only the tip and sliding parts are hardened to high hardness (HRC50 and above) - The overall structure retains toughness (HRC35) ■ Bridge Support Rollers - Only the surface of the rollers is hardened to high hardness (HRC50 and above) - The overall structure retains toughness (HRC35) *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

High-performance stainless steel "Silicoloy B2 - Silicoloy D" various properties

We are compiling data primarily on corrosion-resistant alloys and heat-resistant alloys, including chemical composition and mechanical properties!

"Silicoroy B2" and "Silicoroy D" are high-silicon stainless steels that contain a large amount of Si (silicon) as one of their chemical components. "Silicoroy B2" is a duplex stainless steel (austenitic-ferritic) that has higher strength than austenitic stainless steels and possesses corrosion resistance equivalent to or greater than SUS316. On the other hand, "Silicoroy D" is an austenitic stainless steel with hot strength equivalent to SUS310S. This document compiles data primarily on corrosion-resistant alloys and heat-resistant alloys, and we hope it will assist you in your development efforts. [Contents (partial)] ■ Introduction ■ Example of chemical composition ■ Example of mechanical properties ■ Example of physical properties ■ Example of microscopic structure *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
