[Case Study] Cutter Blade

Prevent adhesive issues in advance! Here we introduce a case where a ToshiCal S coating was applied to the surface of a cutter blade.

At this rubber product manufacturer, there is a process where sheet-like uncured rubber is cut with a cutter blade during the manufacturing of rubber products. Until now, the cutting edge of the cutter blade had been getting contaminated with the cut surface of the rubber sheet, causing disruptions in the direction of the rubber sheet's movement and resulting in cutting defects. Additionally, rubber was sticking to the surface of the conveyor table, leading to transport issues. As a result, they consulted with us and adopted "Toshical S TS-1310." After coating, there was no longer any adhesion of uncured rubber, which significantly contributed to improvements in productivity and quality. When the cutting quality worsens due to the use of a sculpting blade, it is possible to re-sharpen the blade tip! Here are some examples of processing!

The "sculpting blade" is widely used for applications that require half-cutting multi-layer products instead of full cutting. The combination type can be incorporated into molds, allowing for simultaneous processing with a punching die. While there are many successful cases using SUS440C (HRC55), it is also possible to manufacture with high hardness materials such as SKH and HAP. Easy Open Sewing Machine Blade Unit

Easily cut even tough film straight by hand!

It is a cutting tool designed to make it "easy to open" PET and PE, which are usually difficult to cut with regular hands. A "perforated blade" refers to a cutting tool where the cutting part and the non-cutting part are arranged alternately. A typical example is a series of three katakana characters resembling the letter "ha." In packaging used for ointments, materials laminated with PE (polyethylene) and aluminum are often used. By adding perforations to the PE, which is the reason for its difficulty in cutting, after printing and then laminating, a pouch packaging is created that provides guidance during cutting, balancing ease of opening with barrier properties.
