The conventional fluorine-based anti-static coatings required high firing temperatures, which raised concerns about distortion in the aluminum parts. We were looking for a coating that could provide anti-static properties and was less prone to distortion even for thin aluminum parts. ■Coating adopted Saflon LF+ ■Effects achieved Among the Saflon series, Saflon LF+ has a low minimum firing temperature of below 100°C, which is expected to reduce distortion caused by firing, so we proposed it. We confirmed the provision of anti-static properties and resolution of distortion issues through tests and prototypes, leading to its adoption for product coating. The newly developed Saflon LF+ is an anti-static fluororesin coating that can accommodate various environments and applications of our customers.
