In the application of liquefied carbon dioxide (CO2) using the biogas method, the high cost of CO2 is a challenge; however, it allows for more localized concentration control compared to combustion methods, and there is potential for effective application even under conditions with high ventilation rates when skylights are open. Therefore, to develop an effective CO2 application method using the biogas method, we conducted CO2 applications at varying set concentrations in a greenhouse for winter-spring tomato cultivation and examined the effects on CO2 consumption and yield. A three-year study was conducted on the effects of carbon dioxide application on the yield and quality of the Gunma Prefecture cultivated strawberry variety "Yayoi Hime."

This document introduces the effects of carbon dioxide application on the yield and quality of the strawberry variety "Yayoi Hime." The carbon dioxide application was carried out using two methods: local application of liquefied carbon dioxide (directly to the root zone) and combustion-type application using LP gas. When the carbon dioxide concentration in the greenhouse was managed at 600 ppm, the number of fruits and average fruit weight increased, resulting in a yield increase of 14-29% compared to no application, and a 5-10% increase when maintained at 400 ppm. Fuji Gas Carbon Neutral LP Gas [LP Gas × Forest Conservation]

Fujigas aims for carbon neutrality (net zero greenhouse gas emissions) as an LP gas operator while promoting forest conservation activities.

At Fujigas, we have started selling "Fujigas Carbon Neutral LP Gas" (FCN-LPG, commonly known as Mount Fuji LPG), which fully offsets the greenhouse gases generated during the combustion of LP gas. Using carbon credits created through the "Yamanashi Prefectural Forest Utilization Global Warming Countermeasure Project," we achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from LP gas. In Yamanashi Prefecture, the profits from the sale of these credits will be used to promote sustainable forest management that considers further forest conservation and biodiversity preservation. As the number of properly managed forests increases, it will create a cycle that can prevent sediment disasters and contribute to disaster prevention. [FCN-LPG / Parasol Heater Introduction Case] Zetton Inc.

A case where the LP gas used for heating parasols in dining establishments was switched to Fujigas Carbon Neutral LP gas, resulting in a net CO2 emission of approximately zero.

We would like to introduce a case where "Carbon Neutral LP Gas (FCN-LPG)" was implemented at the restaurants managed by Zeton Co., Ltd., which operates dining establishments nationwide. Zeton has been using our outdoor heater (parasol heater) at the terrace seats of their restaurants for some time. In pursuit of decarbonization and sustainable growth, they decided to switch the LP gas for the parasol heaters to FCN-LPG. With this implementation, they achieved a reduction of approximately 87,000 kg-CO2 annually.
