The client operates in the piping and equipment-related field. The product specifications require a configuration that includes a large-diameter ring shape along with internal partition shapes, necessitating reproducibility of the flow path shape and continuity of the seal line. The product feature is the ability to finish the outer shape, inner diameter, and internal shape as a single unit while accommodating the flow path division due to the 3-pass structure. The machining method selected was water jet cutting. This method allows for machining without thermal impact, making it easier to ensure shape reproducibility even for complex shapes, and enables machining of holes, inner diameters, and outer shapes according to the drawings. The effects of the machining include stable dimensional reproducibility of the internal shapes, ensuring assembly compatibility, and contributing to uniformity in finished quality.

We would like to introduce a processing case of "V6502 Black Super" conducted by Daiko Co., Ltd. Based on the customer's drawings, we manufactured a flange gasket for 10K-50A from a 3mm thick non-asbestos joint sheet "Vulcan No. V6502 (Black Super)." It was processed into a shape with handles using a water jet cutting machine. Having handles makes it easier to handle and manage the installation of the gasket. Additionally, since the handles protrude outside the flange, it helps prevent human error by forgetting to insert the gasket. Therefore, the drawing shape was converted into processing data, and the outer circumference, inner circumference, and hole drilling were all processed together using water jet cutting. By processing without affecting the material with heat, the reproducibility of the shape and the quality of the end face are stabilized. As a result, conditions that facilitate alignment during assembly and ensure stable finishing of the sealing surface have been secured. Furthermore, the adoption of D6000 contributes to both practicality and cost advantages for oil seal applications.

The configuration consists of a plate shape with outer dimensions of 50W × 80L, featuring two 14φ holes in the center and four 9φ holes around the perimeter. For the small diameter hole drilling process, we adopted water jet processing because the accuracy of the hole diameter and the reproducibility of the hole position are directly linked to assembly accuracy. This method allows for cutting without thermal impact, thereby suppressing deformation of the rubber material and edge irregularities, ensuring stable dimensional accuracy. As a result, it prevents positional misalignment during bolt insertion and contributes to stable sealing performance at the equipment fixation points. ■Product Features (NBR Rubber) NBR (Nitrile Rubber) has excellent oil resistance and is an ideal synthetic rubber for seals in fuel oils and lubricants. It also exhibits high mechanical strength and wear resistance, making it widely used in O-rings, gaskets, hoses, and more. However, its weather resistance and ozone resistance are low, making it unsuitable for outdoor use, and it primarily excels in indoor hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
