[Production Example] Hose Bending Robot

Using a robot equipped with a mecha chuck! Proposing product uniformity through the use of a dedicated fixture with a clamp.

We would like to introduce a case where we developed a "hose bending robot" that bends a resin hose after heating it and following a mold. The customer faced challenges as they were bending hoses manually, resulting in inconsistent product quality. Additionally, the hoses needed to be heated to 200°C to make bending easier, but this was difficult to achieve by hand. In response, we developed this product. A robot equipped with a mechanical chuck is used to grip high-temperature workpieces. 【Case Overview】 <Customer's Challenges> - Bending hoses manually leads to inconsistent product quality. - It is necessary to heat the hoses to 200°C for easier bending, but this is difficult to do by hand. <Our Proposal> - Use a robot equipped with a mechanical chuck to grip high-temperature workpieces. - Propose the use of a dedicated fixture with clamps to ensure product uniformity. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Improvement Case] Drop Prevention Mechanism Using Depalletizing Hand

Prevents drops during transfer with a floating lock mechanism! Optional selections available according to specifications.

We would like to introduce an improvement case utilizing the drop prevention mechanism of the "Depalletizing Hand" handled by Nagoya Seiko Co., Ltd. The Depalletizing Hand is a device that uses a hand mounted on a robot to suction grip and transfer paper bags stacked on a pallet. We addressed the issue of paper bags (kraft paper: contents = powder) measuring up to 800mm × 450mm × 160mm and weighing 30kg falling or dropping during transfer, which caused the bags to tear and the contents to scatter, with our product. [Issues] - Although the product is gripped using vacuum suction, the suction can become unstable depending on the condition and posture of the suction surface. - If the suction is unstable, the product may fall or drop during transfer, causing the paper bag to tear and the contents to scatter. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Proximity sensor "TK-01" enables a robotic hand to achieve fingertip sensation.

High resolution recognition possible with hardware designed with a wide light-receiving area + reinforcement by a machine learning model!

The "Proximity Sensor" measures distance and tilt with high speed and high resolution. Even for objects that are difficult to recognize with image recognition or light sensors, it can be recognized with high resolution due to hardware designed with a wide light-receiving section and reinforcement from machine learning models. It measures distance and tilt with consistent accuracy, even for transparent or mirror-like objects. Additionally, it contributes to reducing the operational burden and costs for system integrators and field workers, enabling quick responses to a variety of work types by shortening setup times. 【Features】 ■ Overwhelming miniaturization allows for various designs ■ Low cost and suitable for mass production ■ Detects "surfaces" without a camera (reducing overall system costs) ■ Unique AI model enables high-speed and high-resolution processing *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. A robotic hand that enables bulk picking without a camera.

The new technology "proximity sensing and floating mechanism" confirms and controls finger movements, enabling bulk picking without a camera!

This is a robot hand that can accommodate various objects for "bulk picking without a camera" by changing the opening and shape of the fingers. By combining a unique "proximity sensor and floating mechanism," it inserts the fingers into a pile of workpieces and grips them through a so-called probing action. If it fails to grasp, it can immediately detect this and retry. Additionally, if the fingers collide with something, the floating mechanism allows for soft contact, enabling immediate cessation of movement to prevent damage to the robot. It can also handle soft objects gently and securely grip small or thin items. **Features** - Achieves picking without a camera - Built-in flexible joints for automatic collision avoidance - Instantly detects grasping failures and improves efficiency with quick retries *We also accept requests for online detailed explanations and gripping tests with test pieces.* *For more information, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
