We would like to introduce a case where a Panasonic home elevator was installed in a private residence located in Osaka Prefecture. We received a request from the homeowner who wished to install a home elevator in their upcoming three-story private residence. To accommodate larger items and to ensure that all family members can use it in the future, we proposed the "1414 Midi Modern H" based on the dimensions of the hoistway. It can hold three people, with effective internal dimensions of a maximum entrance width of 950mm and a depth of 1150mm. We would like to introduce a case study of the introduction of an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) at Trusco Nakayama Corporation's Planet Saitama (Logistics Center). Due to the vast space of approximately 200 meters in length and four layers, the time and effort required for product transportation, such as inbound and outbound logistics, became a significant challenge. There was a demand for equipment that could automatically transport heavy products in place of human labor. As a solution, we introduced our Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV). After the introduction, we achieved labor-saving and efficiency improvements in product transportation for inbound and outbound logistics. The centralized control system (AOS) allows for the analysis of travel data, enabling further efficiency improvements during operation. In a 3D conveyor, issues such as workpieces falling over occur, and managing production is difficult due to a large flow of work-in-progress that exceeds the line of sight. 【Proposal】 We propose a batch transport method where a chuck unit clamps multiple stacked bearing workpieces together. We will create an integrated transport system that includes one FCS unit assembled in a gantry configuration, along with loading equipment on the upstream side and unloading equipment on the downstream side, to be adopted as a high-level bearing high-speed transport device. 【Results After FCS Implementation】 The effort and time required to design and manufacture a complex three-dimensional transport device in-house were eliminated, significantly reducing the implementation costs. Unlike the 3D conveyor, the issue of work-in-progress remaining overhead was resolved, improving production management.
