Beam Splitter

It is made by coating metal materials very thinly or by multilayer coating dielectric materials.

A "beam splitter" is an optical element that divides light into two parts and is also referred to as a half-mirror. Some of the light incident on this product is reflected, while some is transmitted, resulting in the division. Those that can separate polarized components are called "polarizing beam splitters" and are used in optical pickups, liquid crystal projectors, optical communication devices, and more. 【Main Products】 ■ BD, DVD, CD ■ Office equipment ■ Liquid crystal projectors ■ MR, VR, AR *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

IBS coat optical element ::::: Polarization-independent beam splitter

Achieves a reflectance difference between S-polarized light and P-polarized light of less than 5% (customizable down to 1%).

Manufacturer: Optoman (Lithuania) Fixed beam splitter cubes often fail in high-power laser applications due to epoxy layers and coatings. Optoman offers a dielectric non-polarizing beam splitter plate that does not depend on the polarization of the incident beam. ◆ S-polarized and P-polarized component matching rate of 5% or less ◆ Achieving reflection and transmission of S-polarized and P-polarized light with a tolerance of 5% or less essentially makes this product polarization-independent. While the typical tolerance is 5%, for even stricter specifications, Optoman can provide a tolerance of less than 1% for S-polarized and P-polarized light. ◆ Back AR coating for ghost removal ◆ The front surface is coated with a multi-layer dielectric coating, while the back surface is also AR coated to minimize reflection loss and eliminate ghosts. With cutting-edge IBS coating technology, we achieve excellent features such as high damage threshold, low absorption, low scattering, and long lifespan. OPTOMAN can propose custom products tailored to your needs.

Unpolarized beam splitter, narrowband dielectric type

Cube-type dielectric non-polarizing beam splitter for controlling laser light sources optimized for arbitrary wavelengths.

This is a cube-type polarization-independent beam splitter designed for controlling laser light sources that emit at specific wavelengths and outputs. While the effective wavelength range is broad, the difference in transmission characteristics for P and S polarization is controlled within 3%, and the beam deviation angle (transmission angle) can be manufactured within 2 minutes to reduce beam misalignment. By applying an AR coating (anti-reflective film) optimized for the specified wavelength range, the transmission efficiency can be maximized, and by applying a black coating treatment, unwanted reflections (stray light) can be eliminated, addressing glare and ghosting issues. It can be designed for any control wavelength, such as for a 532nm diode laser (semiconductor laser), a 632.8nm helium-neon (He-Ne) laser, or a 1064nm neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser. It is widely used in fields such as semiconductor manufacturing equipment and automatic optical inspection devices for line irradiation, position detection, and optical processing in machining and measurement instruments.

List of Cube-Type Beam Splitters

Short delivery time with stock sales! All items available for purchase from just one piece.

Edmund Optics has a large inventory of optical components, including a series of cube beam splitters available for stock sale. Edmund Optics' cube beam splitters come with options for anti-reflective coatings designed for widely used laser wavelengths and wavelength ranges, offering optimized performance in the visible and infrared spectrum. Standard cube beam splitters, commonly used in lighting and prompter equipment assemblies, separate light in proportion to the overall intensity. Cube polarizing beam splitters, ideal for semiconductor and photonics applications, separate unpolarized light into s and p polarization states. Unpolarized cube beam splitters separate light without affecting the polarization state of the incident light. Edmund Optics' cube beam splitters can be easily implemented into optical systems using various types of prism holders and adapters for cube beam splitters. Non-polarizing cube beam splitter

Non-polarizing cube beam splitter designed for 532nm.

The unpolarized cube beam splitter consists of two right-angle prisms joined by a partially reflective surface on the internal face. All dielectric coatings of the unpolarized laser beam splitter are optimized to be insensitive to polarization at the designed wavelength. The coatings maintain both S-polarized and P-polarized components so that the ratio of reflection to transmission is the same across a specific laser wavelength range.
