Super ultra-fine particle super hard alloy 'AGS1' | Tokaroi

Achieving both 'high hardness and high compressive strength' and 'surface roughness'! Introducing ultra-fine particle super hard alloy with excellent adhesion to coating films.

"AGS1" is an ultra-fine particle cemented carbide with high hardness and high strength, utilizing our company's powder manufacturing/sintering technology. It achieves high hardness among Tokaroi materials and demonstrates excellent wear resistance. Compared to other companies' ultra-fine particle cemented carbides, it balances high hardness and high strength. For applications requiring advanced edge retention, such as cutting metal foils and films, we have optimized the composition of ultra-fine particles to achieve superior "sharp edges" compared to conventional types. **Features of ultra-fine particle cemented carbide 'AGS1':** - High hardness, high strength, wear resistance - Corrosion resistance - Coating adhesion - Edge retention, surface roughness *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Wear-resistant coarse particle superhard alloy 'TS25' | Tokaroi

Achieving long tool life with our top-class corrosion resistance! "Coarse grain carbide" designed with a composition suitable for processing SPCC, suppressing adhesive wear of tools.

Tōkai Gokin's "TS25" is a specialized carbide alloy that combines "low bonding phase amount," "coarse grain WC," and "anti-seizing properties" necessary to suppress adhesive wear of tools in the processing of SPCC. With high resistance to adhesive wear, it is suitable as a tool material for processing SPCC materials and others. Compared to materials of the same hardness range that we handle, it achieves approximately a 40% reduction in wear, contributing to improved tool life and reduced maintenance costs. Additionally, it has excellent corrosion resistance, suppressing the ionization of the bonding phase. It can also prevent skin roughness (seizing damage) and quality deterioration associated with corrosion on the tool surface. 【Features】 ■ Composition design suitable for processing SPCC ■ Contributes to the long life of tools with excellent adhesive wear resistance ■ Among our products, it has top-class corrosion resistance *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

High substitute material! Prevents chipping and breaking with high cobalt carbide material.

In high-speed applications, durability is insufficient, but conventional carbide is too brittle—GF24 responds to such "troubles" in the field.

Have you ever struggled with the brittleness of hard alloys? Powdered high-speed steel cannot withstand wear, but conventional carbide tools suffer from chipping. To respond to such voices from the field, Mizuho Industry developed "GF24." GF24 is a special grade that combines ultra-fine tungsten carbide particles of less than 0.6μm with a high binder design of 24%. This results in: - High hardness of HRA88.0 - High fracture toughness of 15.0 MPa·m¹ᐟ² - Compressive strength of 4.2 GPa - Toughness with a bending strength of 3800 MPa.

[Case Study] Built-in Large Printer Cutting Circular Blade <Solving the Paper Dust Problem>

We formed a joint development project team, repeatedly conducted tests with prototype blades, and held development meetings.

We would like to introduce a case study of a major printer equipment manufacturer that has implemented the "Large Printer Built-in Cutting Circular Blade" from Kai Corporation. Paper is a very tough material for cutting tools. Not only is there the issue of paper dust, but the load on the cutting edge is also significant, making it difficult to achieve durability with this material. During the development process, we formed a joint development project team with the customer, repeatedly testing with prototype blades and holding development meetings. As a result, a blade with the highest possible grinding precision was completed, solving the problem of paper dust. [Case Study] ■ Implementing Company: Major Printer Equipment Manufacturer ■ Customer's Challenge - How to reduce the amount of paper dust generated during the cutting of photographic paper *For more details, please refer to the related links or PDF materials, or feel free to contact us.

Film cutting, 28mm diameter round blade [Confident in sharpness, small diameter round blade]

"High-quality round blade" achieves a clean cutting surface.

Cutting film involves three main requests: 1. A clean finish on the cut surface, 2. Durability, and 3. Reducing the ear rise (the bulging at both ends) when rolled up. The cleanliness of the cut surface is primarily determined by the "finish of the blade edge." At Kai Industries, as a razor manufacturer, we produce high-quality blades, so please take a moment to verify the difference in quality. *The blade introduced here is a 28mm round blade that achieves a clean cut surface due to its high edge finish. It is ideal for cutting PET (polyethylene terephthalate), PP (polypropylene), PVC (polyvinyl chloride), and aluminum vapor-deposited films. Applicable blade: C280-1C 21° alloy tool steel 28mm *For more details, please click on the [Kai Industries Machine Blade Site].

Ultimate Invar Alloy "IC-DX"

Zero expansion - does not undergo structural transformation up to -269°C! The Young's modulus is 1.5 times that of commercial products!

"IC-DX" is a low thermal expansion alloy based on Fe-Co-Cr. Since it does not contain Ni, which raises the Ms point, it can achieve both zero thermal expansion and low-temperature structural stability, making it suitable for use in low-temperature environments. This material is being evaluated for use as a pad material for bonding 200mm square fused quartz (aspheric mirrors). Thermal expansion at the operating temperature of 77K (liquid nitrogen) and during alignment adjustments from room temperature to 77K is important. 【Features】 ■ Zero expansion, ultra-low temperature stability, high rigidity, corrosion resistance ■ Coefficient of thermal expansion: 0 ppm/℃ ■ Lower limit temperature for low-temperature use: minus 269℃ ■ Young's modulus: 176 GPa ■ Corrosion resistance equivalent to SUS304 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
