■What is a Cartridge Heater? A cartridge heater is a pipe-type heater widely used in molds, packaging machines, molding machines, and other applications. It primarily consists of a nichrome wire (heating element) wound around a molded magnesium oxide material called a bobbin, which is then placed inside a metal pipe such as stainless steel. After filling with magnesium oxide powder, a squeezing process is performed to increase the filling density of the magnesium oxide, allowing the heater to release more heat to the outside of the pipe. This makes it an excellent heater. The principle of the cartridge heater is based on resistance heating, as it uses nichrome wire as the heating element. ■Benefits of Using SUS Flexible Cartridge Heaters One of the characteristics is that they are protected from scratches due to being shielded from the outside by lead wires.
