[Case Study] A pharmaceutical manufacturer wants to improve production efficiency by reducing filtration time.

"I want to improve production efficiency by reducing filtration time" - shortening production time with a centrifuge that has high centrifugal force and a large processing capacity (basket volume).

■We want to shorten the filtration time and improve production efficiency■ We received a request from Company S, a manufacturer of pharmaceuticals, stating, "We want to shorten the filtration time and improve production efficiency." We proposed the MARK3β, which has higher centrifugal force than the existing competitor's horizontal centrifuge and poses no risk of dust (foreign matter contamination) from the belt, along with a larger processing capacity (basket volume). ■Results of the implementation■ Compared to the existing competitor's horizontal centrifuge, we were able to shorten the dehydration time due to the higher centrifugal force. Additionally, since the vibration is lower than that of the existing machine, we have received high praise for contributing to the reduction of machine noise. For more details, please check the basic information.

Simple structure and easy maintenance bottom discharge centrifuge [MARK3α]

A simple structure that is easy to maintain and operate, suitable for mass production centrifuges. It can be installed in narrow spaces and is ideal for food, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.

The basket capacity, filtration area, and centrifugal force (800-900G) are large, allowing for mass production and rapid processing. By placing the motor in the center of the machine, vibrations are reduced, and the installation area can be minimized compared to the processing volume, allowing for installation at a convenient height. The large bottom discharge outlet prevents adhesion, accumulation, and clogging of processed materials. A variety of programs can be set, and with various safety devices equipped, automatic operation is possible. It can efficiently perform filtration separation and purification processes in the fields of food manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and fine chemicals, with the ability to control the rotation speed to match the product for optimal results. This product has a track record of over 2,500 units delivered to domestic and international pharmaceutical manufacturing sites that must comply with manufacturing management and quality control standards such as GMP and FDA, and each machine is custom-made to suit the nature of the customer's product, usage, and specific issues. The product information provided is just an example, so please feel free to contact us via the inquiry form or by phone. Filtration tests can also be conducted with samples for which filtration separation is desired.

[Case Study] I want to easily extract crystals even with an upper discharge centrifugal separator.

The use of a special basket and lifter enables improved cleaning of the in-flight basket and reduces the burden on the work operator.

We received an inquiry from chemical manufacturer O regarding their desire to easily recover and extract crystals using a top discharge centrifuge. We proposed and delivered our top discharge centrifuge model KMβ with a bottom-open type basket without a flange for dewatering. As a result of using our centrifuge, we received positive feedback regarding: - Reduced burden on the operating personnel - Improved cleanliness of the basket inside the machine In top discharge centrifuges, operators must manually remove solid materials. However, this is quite labor-intensive, and the difficulty increases if the solids are hard. Furthermore, with medium-sized machines around 42 inches, the solids to be removed can exceed 100 kg. To alleviate this heavy labor, we considered the bottom-open type of dewatering bag. ↓ Continuing to "Basic Information"

【Case Study】Automatically recover all crystals without exposure!

It is possible to recover the entire amount of high-priced crystals. Furthermore, production in a sealed environment is possible, which reduces the risks of contamination and exposure, and fully automated operation is also feasible.

We received an inquiry from Company O, a manufacturer of electronic materials, stating, "We want to automatically discharge crystals without exposure. Additionally, since the unit price of the product is high, we want to recover all of it." We proposed the all-recovery type centrifuge "FLOWM." [About FLOWM] While conventional top-discharge types allow for complete recovery, they pose a risk of foreign matter contamination due to the open state during product retrieval. Furthermore, the necessity for manual retrieval by operators increases their workload, consequently raising labor costs. On the other hand, fully automatic bottom-discharge types tend to leave residual crystals, making complete recovery difficult, and they are inferior to top-discharge types in terms of cleanability. This is where the cloth-inversion type centrifuge FLOWM comes into focus. The cloth-inversion type FLOWM eliminates the need for a scraping device, which is essential in fully automatic systems, by inverting the filter cloth to extract crystals, thus enabling complete recovery. Moreover, it allows for production in a sealed environment, reducing the risks of contamination and exposure, and it can operate fully automatically. It also boasts excellent cleanability, allowing for cleaning in a sealed state. Additionally, the opening and closing mechanism is standardly equipped and is designed to operate without requiring power, contributing to an oil-free operation.

Basic Knowledge: Introduction to Centrifuges - What is a Centrifuge?

Efficient solid-liquid separation with centrifugal force hundreds to tens of thousands of times greater than gravity / A simple explanation of the mechanism that "separates" with a force tens of thousands of times that of gravity!

A centrifuge is a device that efficiently separates solids from liquids, or immiscible liquids like water and oil, by utilizing the "centrifugal force" generated by rotation. For example, a separation that takes two days using gravity can be completed in just 30 minutes with a centrifuge. The mechanism is simple: it separates materials by utilizing differences in specific gravity through the high-speed rotation of a drum-shaped "basket." There are various types available, including "filtration type" and "sedimentation type," and they can be selected according to the application, such as top discharge or bottom discharge. They are widely used in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, and recycling, and are active in both laboratories and factories. This document provides an easy-to-understand explanation of the basics of centrifugation, its types, and applications for beginners. Please take a look as the first step in the "technology of separation." ◆ Free download from the catalog page ↓
