Six Ways to Achieve the Greening of Air Conditioning Systems

Towards decarbonizing air conditioning systems! Here are six ways to make significant progress from now on.

The sustainability of buildings has been consistently improving for decades due to advancements in technology and materials. Some of these advancements are groundbreaking. Today, solutions that can provide economic benefits to building owners while reducing emissions are readily available. Here, we present six ways for air conditioning systems to make significant progress towards decarbonization: - Thoroughly eliminate inefficiencies on a per-kilowatt basis - Use cold outside air instead of compressors - Recover and reuse thermal energy - Plan for a transition to low-GWP refrigerants - Store energy to balance supply and demand - Transition to on-site and off-site renewable energy *For more details, you can view the related links. *For more information, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Energy Plant Case Study] Pinellas County Central Energy Plant

Introducing a case where annual electricity consumption was reduced by 30-40% and carbon dioxide emissions were also reduced by about 25%.

We would like to introduce a case study of the energy plant implemented at the Pinellas County Central Energy Plant. The air conditioning systems installed in seven county buildings in Pinellas County had exceeded their useful life and were operating inefficiently, making replacement a challenging situation. The newly established plant provides low-cost air conditioning to five county buildings and nearby high-rise apartments through piped water. [Case Overview] ■ Challenges - Exceeded useful life and operating inefficiently - Many of the aging units are located in the buildings' basements, making replacement difficult ■ Results - Improved efficiency and reduced energy costs - Optimization of system operations *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
