Designing office spaces! "Paintable zinc coating"

The world of natural "zinc coating"! We are broadcasting new possibilities of zinc from this office! It can be used not only for rust prevention but also as a design element.

We would like to introduce a case study of our product, the "Robal Series," applied at the Robal Corporation's Kitahama office located in Osaka City. Originally used as a rust preventive for iron and galvanized materials, "Robal" is showcased here in a decorative context. When Robal is applied to a steel plate, the finish appears monochrome. However, when applied to plywood, the texture follows the wood grain, expressing various brightness levels depending on the viewing angle. Moreover, by changing the orientation of the board, the way light hits it changes, allowing for a gradient effect to be observed. This office is filled with inspiration by showcasing numerous examples of Robal in use. [Case Overview] ■ Design: Nikken Space Design ■ Location: Robal Corporation's Kitahama office in Osaka City *For more details, please refer to the related link page or feel free to contact us.

Deep Vacuum Drainage and Consolidation Dewatering Method - Super Well Point Method

This is a new drainage method that resolves the shortcomings of (gravity drainage + forced drainage) while incorporating their advantages.

The Super Well Point Method enables forced drainage while maintaining a vacuum inside the well by using a special double-pipe structure (special separate screen) for the trainer section, as opposed to conventional well point methods (forced drainage), deep well methods (gravity drainage), and vacuum deep well methods. ◎For more details, please download and view the catalog.

Groundwater level lowering method associated with the construction of sewage treatment facilities in coastal lowland areas.

Prior to the SWP construction method, a pumping test was conducted! Successful in achieving a favorable drop in groundwater level.

In the construction of the sewage treatment facility (inflow pump building) under construction in Nishi Ward, Fukuoka City, a "pumping test was conducted prior to the implementation of the Super Well Point Method." The test site was under pressure, and to achieve the necessary water level for preventing heave, a significant amount of groundwater needed to be pumped out. Concerns about the lowering of groundwater levels in the surrounding area led to a comparative study of groundwater lowering methods. By employing the "SWP method," which has a high pumping capacity, groundwater level reduction was achieved, and subsequent pumping tests confirmed that the intended objectives were met. [Test Details] ■ Test Site: Sewage treatment facility construction in coastal lowland area (Nishi Ward, Fukuoka City) ■ Adopted Method: Super Well Point Method ■ Test Content: Pumping Test *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Development of a New Soft Ground Improvement Method Using Pore Water Suction and Overburden Load

Introduction of the improvement principles, operation methods, and improvement effects of a new soft ground improvement method.

This document summarizes the development of a new soft ground improvement method using pore water suction and surface load application. The Super Well Point method (SWP) is an improved version of the vacuum deep well technique, which allows for the efficient drainage of pore water from various types of ground, including cohesive soils, by separating and suctioning pore water and air within the ground. Using this SWP method, we have developed a technique to promote the settlement of soft cohesive soil layers and improve soil properties. As a result of the improvement, applying this method to alluvial cohesive soil layers and introducing air temporarily caused ground uplift, and continued suctioning led to accelerated settlement. [Contents] ■ Introduction ■ Improvement Principles ■ Arrangement and Operating Procedures of Suction Mechanisms ■ Improvement Effects ■ Future Developments *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Simple Fabric Foundation Method "Spike Frame Method"

The basic installation can be done entirely by "manual labor"! It is also suitable for weak ground. For small structures such as simple warehouses.

The "Spike Frame Method" is a simple cloth foundation method suitable for small-scale structures, allowing all foundation installation processes to be carried out manually. It uses the Base Ground Foundation (BGF) method, which has obtained GBR-C performance evaluation, for the foundation body. With unique BGF foundation brackets and four pins, the foundation can be completed in just a few hours. It can quickly adapt to soft ground and the width of the frame can easily be adjusted to match the columns of the structure. Since excavation work using heavy machinery and concrete pouring are not required, it significantly contributes to shortening construction time and reducing costs. 【Examples of Use】 ◎ Vegetable cultivation rooms ◎ Hobby sheds ◎ Greenhouse garden houses ◎ Simple storage, etc. *For more details, please refer to the materials. Feel free to contact us with any inquiries. ★★★ The Base Ground Foundation used in the Spike Frame Method won the Good Design Award 2019! ★★★

Permeable Resin Mortar System Construction Method Council PRMS Multifunctional Construction Method

It is a multifunctional construction method made of materials with excellent functional durability, which not only suppresses freezing effects during winter but also has noise reduction effects.

The "PRMS (Palms) multifunctional construction method" is a technique that fills the voids in the surface aggregate of drainage paint with elastic resin mortar. It uses special elastic aggregate (product name "PRMS elastic aggregate") and special urethane resin as filling materials, offering excellent durability, freeze prevention effects in snowy cold regions, and further noise reduction compared to drainage pavement. The "PRMS elastic aggregate" is made from recycled tires that have been chipped and coated with inorganic powder and resin, resulting in granules (approximately 1mm to 2mm). The coating optimizes the elasticity of the recycled tire chips and improves adhesion with the urethane resin binder, significantly enhancing the durability of the elastic resin mortar. Additionally, the durability of functions such as preventing clogging of the voids in drainage paint has been improved. For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

~Construction method aimed at accident prevention~ PRMS Grip Method

This is a construction method that can be utilized as a traffic safety measure for permeable pavement (porous asphalt pavement).

The PRMS (Pavement Resistance Management System) grip method is a traffic safety measure that aims to improve skid resistance performance by overlaying a thin layer of permeable resin mortar on existing drainage pavement (porous asphalt pavement) where skid resistance has decreased. Since fine aggregates are laid on the road surface, it is possible to grip the tires and reduce slip accidents. The color of the aggregates includes standard colors such as brown, yellow, blue, white, and green, in addition to black, allowing for road surface colorization. For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
